The backs are brown organic cotton, and they are stuffed full of bamboo/organic cotton fluff. Since I only used a small portion of the vintage napkin, I made some extra pincushions, which will soon be up for grabs in my Etsy shop.

Owl & Tree Pincushions
I was lucky enough to find several of these amazing vintage linen napkins. The print is earthy and adorable. And I love that I can use every bit of it.
After reserving a couple napkins to use in a baby quilt for my friend Shauna, I decided to make some pincushions (since I am forever having pins laying around everywhere!). And I love, love, love these little cuties!

Improv Sewing
I bought this vintage fabric off someone on ebay, but when I got it there was some yellowing in spots. These were drapes at one time. I loved the pattern so I decided to chance it...I cut my bag pattern in an area I thought was spot free.
Not so much. So I've decided to improvise by painting the 2 problem flowers with shimmery fabric paint. Hopefully, it will turn out and look splendid!

Recycled Coffee Bags
I have been wanting to purchase hemp fabric to make some bags since it's pretty durable, but it's surprisingly expensive. I was totally stoked to come across these used coffee bags! What could be more durable than these bags that haul 150 pounds of raw coffee beans? And I love the fact that these will give me the opportunity to repurpose something in a creative way! I can't wait to get to work on this project!

Pencil Wrap
I've been busy trying to create my own pattern for a pencil roll up. As a teacher, I know how wonderful this could be for kids trying to get organized!
However, I don't like the idea of ribbon and having to tie the roll up closed each time it's used....not easy to do as we're rushing to clean up and the bell rings. This is what I've seen offered in a roll up.
So, after several tries I've come up with my own pattern and idea for these organizers. It's a great back to school find! Pencil boxes or zipper bags are gross! I have seen so many nasty pencil boxes and bags; the lead rubs off on everything and gets all over inside. My roll ups are great alternative!
Now available on Etsy!

New To Me
Some "new to me" vintage fabrics and a piece bamboo fleece headed for the washer...
I am especially excited about the really large floral vintage barkcloth in the lower right corner. I have a feeling it will end up being my back to school tote bag for my new job!
I'll be doing a give away with the vintage turquoise and white floral print in the top right corner so check back for that soon!
Eco Friendly Flower Pin
These little beauties are so versatile! I've been pinning mine to all kinds of things...
And I can't wait until a birthday rolls around so I can use one in place of a bow!
The thing I enjoy most about creating these little flower pins is getting a chance to use all those little left over bits of vintage fabric I love! I hate to see things go to waste!
Available for purchase in my Esty Shop!
